On April 2, 2022, the Taihu Laboratory of Deep Sea Technology Science and the China Ship Science Research Center jointly held the online "Ship Overall Performance Innovation Research Open Fund" project guide interpretation (first batch) and guide solicitation meeting. The meeting was a complete success.

Innovative ecological construction
In order to better play the responsibility and resource traction of the national strategic scientific and technological strength, the China Ship Science Research Center and the Taihu Laboratory of Deep Sea Technology Science are planning the construction of an innovative ecology with greater efforts.
◆ On the one hand, relying on the two national defense science and technology key laboratories of "hydrodynamics" and "vibration and noise" that are now operating normally, and the state key laboratory of "deep sea equipment", integrated planning, regular and large-scale releases open fund;
◆ On the other hand, it will open up and integrate emerging technologies from a broad professional perspective, and establish a new "Open Fund for Innovation Research on Ship Overall Performance". While focusing on the research and application of overall ship performance, it has a wide range of professional directions and strong funding.

Call for Guidelines Initiative
In order to actively encourage and nurture innovative ideas, and to build and build an innovative ecosystem, an initiative to solicit guidelines was launched to universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprises at the meeting. Experts and scholars are welcome to put forward suggestions on the three key research directions of the Open Fund. If you have any suggestions or ideas, we invite all capable experts and scholars to act as "coaches" and "co-create the ecology" with us while being "athletes".
